FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions

Below is some of the common queries and answers:

Q. What is the format of a Sing for Supper night?

  • Sing for Supper for an Hour                6:00 – 7:00 pm
  • Supper                                                 7: 00 – 7:30 pm
  • Sing some more                                    7:30 – 8:30 pm

We will start singing at 6pm. The venue will be open from 5.30. Please arrive early to be ready to sing at 6pm.

Q. I have food allergies - will there be any food I can eat?

All our soups will be accompanied by a full list of ingredients to allow singers to identify whether the soup is suitable for them. Generally, all our soups will be vegetable based, several soups will be made using "Massel stock cubes" which are gluten & lactose free. We ask that you take the time to read the ingredients. A small selection of fruit will also be available. We are unable to cater to every individual need but will do our best. Of course, you would also be welcome to bring along your own food. Please contact us to discuss.

Q. Is there a family admission price?

We love the idea of families singing together. We have tried to make Sing for Supper accessible for families and as such, we are offering the opportunity for children under 12 to sing and have supper for $5. This price is below our costs, so we are unable to offer any further discounts. We hope you will find our singing event a good value family night out.

Q. What happens if I book for a Sing for Supper night and then I'm unable to come along?

No problem. We understand that things happen and despite your desire to come along and sing - you just can't make it. If you are planning to come along we would like to know so that we have enough of our yummy soup for everyone.

Q. Can I still come along if I haven't booked?

Yes - please come along. It helps us to know how many people are coming for catering purposes. We will always have a little bit extra. If we have a large number of people who haven't booked we may not have enough supper. Also there is a limited number of places available. To avoid disappointment, please contact us

Q. We really like the Sing for Supper soup. Could we have the recipe?

We will publish one of our favorite soup recipes each month. Click on the link for this month's - vegetable & barley soup with a difference, which includes apple, tomato & creamed corn. The recipe is from Alison Holst, one of Deb's favorite slow cooker advocates. Visit "Our Blog" for more lovely recipes.
